Multimedia In Foreign Trade

  Introduction

                             Multimedia is a form of communication that combines different content forms such as text, images, animations & videos into a single interactive presentation. A good examples of multimedia includes video podcasts, audio, slideshows and animated videos. 

                Multimedia can be recorded for playback on computers, laptops, smartphones, and other electronic devices either on demand or in real time. The word multi and media are combined to form the word multimedia. The word multi means many and media means medium. 

             Multimedia is the presentation of text, pictures, audio and video with links and tools that allow the user to navigate, engage, create and communicate using a computer. Multimedia refers to the computer assisted integration of text, drawings, still and moving images or videos, graphics, audio, animation and any other media in which any type of information can be expressed, stored, communicated and processed digitally. 

Categories Of Multimedia

                There are mainly in two categories multimedia divided.  They are given below.

1) Linear Multimedia

                  In the case of linear multimedia, the end user can not control the content of the application. A linear multimedia application lacks all the features with the help of which, a user can interact with the application such as the ability to choose different options, click on icons, control the flow of the media, or change the pace at which the media is displayed. It is also called non-interactive multimedia. 

             Linear multimedia works very well for providing information to a large group of people such as at training sessions, seminars, work place meetings, etc. 

2) Non - Linear Multimedia

               Non - linear multimedia, the end user is allowed the navigational control to rove through multimedia content at his own desire. The user can control the access of the application. 

            Non - linear offers user interactivity to control the movement of data. E.g. computer games, websites, computer based training programs. 

Applications Or Use Of Multimedia - Below are some applications of multimedia, which are used as per their requirements. 

1) Electronic Messaging

                     Sending audio and video as attachments by email. Downloading audio and video. Sending simple text data through emails. It also provides store and forward message facility.

2) Image Enhancement 

                   Highlighting details of image by increasing contrast. Making picture darker and increasing grey scale level of pixels. Rotating image in real time. Adjusting RGB (Red, Green, Blue) to get image with proper colors. 

3) Multimedia In Software

                    Software engineers may use multimedia in computer from entertainment to designing digital games. It can be used as a learning process. This multimedia software's are created by professionals and software engineers. 

4) Multimedia In Education Sectors

                       Multimedia is used to instruct as a guide because nowadays, multimedia CD are used instead of text books. Knowledge can be easily obtained by using multimedia CD includes text, pictures, sound and film which helps the students to understand more easily and clearly than the text books. For the use of multimedia as an education the student must have PC or laptops with a high quality display. This all has promoted the development of a wide range of computer based training. 

5) Multimedia In Advertising

                         Multimedia technology is commonly used in advertisement. to promote the business and products is used for preparing advertisement. And it is very useful tool in advertising sectors. 

6)  Multimedia In Business

                        The multimedia is a considered as a very powerful tool which is used in the communication and interaction with the clients. This multimedia is found in enhancing the presentation skills and always gives a realistic approach to the business with the data and information presented in the presentation slides with the use of images, text, videos, animations, etc. Nowadays business are promoted online on various platforms like video sharing websites, blogs, websites and on digital platforms to promoted business.

7) Multimedia In Entertainment Industries 

                The main and widespread application of multimedia can be seen in the entertainment industry. Movies, Advertisement, Short Clips, are now being created using special effects and animations, like VFX. Multimedia is also used for gaming purposes which are distributed online or through CDs. These games also integrated various multimedia features. 

8) Multimedia In Science And Technology

                    The multimedia is used immensely in the field of science because the demonstration of any new activities and experiments can be easily prepared in the form of multimedia for further distribution. There are many renowned science journals which accept multimedia presentation for their studies and research. The result of the experiments which are performed nowadays can be explained and distributed in the form of images, graphics, and videos.

In the world of digitization, old trade issues may have new consequences such as the impacts of cumbersome border procedures on parcel trade, or restrictions on newly tradable services and new issues for trade policy are emerging, such as differing regulations among nations in relation to data flows. Further understanding of the nature and extent of these changes is needed to help policy makers create an environment that nurtures innovation and promotes digital trade in goods and services.

                      Multimedia is a form of communication that combines different content forms such as text, audios, images, animations and videos into a single interactive presentation, in contrast to traditional mass media which features little to no interaction from users, such as printed material or audio recordings. Popular examples of multimedia include video podcasts, audio slideshows and animated videos.

Multimedia finds its applications in various areas including, advertisements, art, education, entertainment, medicines, mathematics, business, scientific research and spatial temporal applications.
